Secure Checkout

How your connection, your card and your order details are protected.

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Buying online means trusting a shop with your details. This page explains the specific measures that protect your order and your card at posh-elements.com.

The connection is encrypted

Every page on this site, including the basket and the checkout, is served over HTTPS using a TLS certificate. You can confirm this yourself: the address bar of your browser will show a padlock and the address will begin with https://posh-elements.com. Information you type is encrypted in transit between your browser and our server.

We never see your card number

Card payments on this site are processed by Stripe. When you enter your card details at checkout, those details go directly to Stripe through a secure hosted field. Posh Elements Boutique does not receive, process or store your full card number, expiry date or CVC security code, and they are never written to our database or our servers.

Stripe is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider, which is the most demanding level of certification in the card payments industry.

Fraud checks

Your card issuer may ask you to confirm the payment through 3D Secure, which usually means approving it in your banking app or entering a one time code. This is a standard protection against someone else using your card, and it is run by your bank rather than by us.

We may also contact you before dispatch if an order looks unusual, for example if the billing and delivery details do not line up. If we cannot verify an order we will cancel it and refund it in full rather than take a risk with someone else’s card.

What we do store

We keep the information we need to fulfil and account for your order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number if you gave one, what you bought, and the last four digits and card type as reported back to us by Stripe. That is enough to identify a payment and process a refund, and not enough to make a charge.

Access to order records is limited to the people who pack and support orders. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

Saved cards

If you create an account you can choose to save a card for next time. When you do, the card itself is stored by Stripe and your account holds only a reference to it, so we still never see or hold your card number. You can remove a saved card at any time from the Payment methods tab in My Account, and you are always asked to confirm before a saved card is charged.

Keeping your account safe

If you create an account, choose a password you do not use anywhere else. We will never email or telephone you to ask for your password, your full card number or your card security code. If you receive a message claiming to be from us that asks for any of those, do not reply to it and please forward it to Support@posh-elements.com.

Reporting a problem

If you believe there has been unauthorised use of your card on this site, contact your bank first so they can protect the card, then email us with any details you can share and we will help however we can.
